Wave 3.0 has two physical ways of controlling microbial population in a water system: Encapsulation and Electroporation.

Encapsulation

  • Bacteria are suspended particles

    • They can become sites for precipitation

    • They can be drawn into the ever-growing powder

  • Bacteria are not killed but are limited in their ability to excrete wastes, obtain nutrients

  • Bacteria are limited in their ability to reproduce

Electroporation.

  • High frequency pulses damage membrane walls

  • Pulses do not kill bacteria

  • Creates pores / holes in walls

  • Bacteria expend energy to repair damage

  • Limits reproduction

Corrosion Control​

The most serious corrosion concerns in a cooling tower come from chemical additives. Removing chemicals, avoiding the use of softened water, and using the chemical-free Wave 3.0 eliminates those concerns. Other serious concerns come from localized corrosion attack caused by biofilm or mineral scale. Under Wave 3.0 treatment, these conditions are absent and therefore these types of corrosion are eliminated.
